2011 Absolutely Gospel Music Awards Celebration- 
As far as nominations go, the Gaither Vocal Band landed a stellar nine nominations this year, more than any other artist. The group earned nods for Album of the Year and Progressive Southern Album of the Year (for Greatly Blessed), Male Group of the Year, Special Event Project of the Year (for the live CD/DVD Great Day), Best Live Performer, Fan Favorite Artist of the Year, and the premier award of the Absolutely Gospel Music Awards, 2011 Pacesetter. In addition, group member Michael English earned his second consecutive Male Vocalist of the Year nod (an award he won last year) and a Producer of the Year (Artist) nomination. 

Ernie Haase & Signature Sound and The Bowling Family each earned eight nods – with both groups landing in Fan Favorite Artist of the Year category (the only category chosen strictly by the fans).

Following behind those artists were The Perrys, Dove Brothers, Triumphant Quartet, and Booth Brothers with seven nominations apiece. Brian Free & Assurance and The Freemans both landed six nominations. Three artists received five nominations – The Isaacs, Karen Peck & New River and The Greenes.

Jeff & Sheri Easter and Legacy Five both earned four nominations, while several artists received double mentions, including Jason Crabb, The Dunaways, The Nelons, Beyond the Ashes, Crawford Crossing, Sisters, Gordon Mote, the Talley Trio, and Greater Vision.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (10-21-10) Crawford Crossing made their debut appearance on Trinity Broadcasting Network’s PraiseThe Lord television program on Friday, October 22, 2010. Tabitha, Israel and Whitney filmed the program at the Nashville, Tennessee studio with a packed house.  The trio performed selections from their debut project, Turn Up The Music, including their current radio single, “The Heaven I’m Headed To.”  They were interviewed by Jason Crabb, where they spoke about their incredible year and their exciting plans for the future. Jason Crabb hosts the two-hour show, which also features Ernie Haase and Signature Sound, the Collingsworth Family and 33 Miles.

(2-16-11)  At a press conference held by the Gospel Music Association Wednesday, February 16th in Atlanta GA at the historic Fox Theatre’s Grand Salon,  Crawford Crossing received a GMA Dove Award nomination for Country Album Of The Year for their Willow Creek Records Nashville recording, "Turn Up The Music", produced by Terry Thompson. Crawford Crossing is comprised of Tabitha Crawford Wheeler, Israel Crawford and Whitney Crawford of Kingsport, TN. Crawford Crossing is nominated alongside Jeff and Sheri Easter, Guy Penrod, Ricky Skaggs, Point of Grace, and Austins Bridge.


Producer and Willow Creek Records Nashville President Terry Thompson commented,  “I am so pleased about this Dove nomination and so excited for Crawford Crossing.  It is a real team effort to complete a project like Turn Up The Music.  A lot of work went into this album.  Much time was spent choosing the right songs, and the overall concept for this album.  So, thanks to all the writers for writing our heartfelt thoughts, the musicians for putting their touches, Rhonda Thompson Promotions, and the whole WCR team.  It continues to be a real pleasure working with such talented people as Crawford Crossing.”

Crawford Crossing Releases Some Things Go Together

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (8-21-11) Crawford Crossing released a brand new project, Some Things Go Together, on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 with a full day of media appearances. Terry Thompson produced the release, which features the country/bluegrass vocals fans have come to love. The album highlights a who’s who of songwriters, including Jim Brady, Lee Black, Ricky Free, Dierks Bentley, Natalie Grant, Kara DioGuardi and others. The first single, “He Knows Your Name” was recently shipped to radio by Rhonda Thompson Promotions and was written by Meredith Andrews, Don Poythress and Tony Wood.
